Welcome to the Claiborne County School District
The Claiborne County School System continually strives to be one of the best. 
Our system consists of 12 schools, Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, with an enrollment of approximately 4600 students. Our school system, as well as each individual school within it, is currently “In Good Standing” according to the No Child Left Behind Criteria. We feel this is quite an accomplishment.
We are fortunate to have teachers, principals, support staff, and central office staff who are willing to do what it takes to improve education. Students and parents are a great asset and they respond to the educational requirements needed for success. We also have dedicated governing bodies such as the school board and county commission who find ways to fund our programs and materials.
We are a forward looking community that is becoming a center for educational opportunities along with a developing recreational center. Claiborne County is blessed with lakes, the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, mountains, and many other blessings of nature. This is a great place to educate your children, whether they are PreK or 12th graders, and have them continue learning at our local post secondary institutions Lincoln Memorial University and Walters State Community College.
