The Green House Is At It Again!!!

Students have worked very hard this year potting seeds for producing plants for selling to the public. The Greenhouse is now open and sales have started. Item for sale this year include:

The local community supports our Greenhouse!!!


Students have worked really hard to make the Greenhouse work

 

The Springdale Elementary sixth grade, in conjunction with the Youth Endowment of East Tennessee Foundation, presented a check of $150 each to the Claiborne Hunger Ministry and the Cease shelter of Claiborne County. Springdale received a grant through the Youth Endowment of East Tennessee Foundation to operate their greenhouse.

The students seeded the trays and plugged many of the plants. Students were involved with all aspects of operating the greenhouse, and decided to donate part of the money made from the greenhouse to charity. The Hunger Ministry and CEASE shelter were chosen for the 2006-2007 greenhouse year. The students learned much by this experience, from planting to giving. Thanks go to the Youth Endowment of East Tennessee Foundation for the grant.
