About Our Program..................

The Springdale Elementary After-School "CARE" (Comprehensive Academic & Recreational Enrichment) Program is staffed by teachers and teacher's assistants who are employed during the regular school day. After-School instructors work with regular school-day teachers to meet the needs of students who participate in the program. Students rotate by grade level through a computer class each six-week period. Students in grades 3-6 can also choose to attend "homework lab" for extra assistance from instructors to complete daily work. Recreational classes are also part of our program and begin at 4:30. Some special offerings throughout the year include swimming and bowling. Plans are underway to expand recreational opportunities for students.

The 21st CCLC Summer School at Springdale provides a number of field trip opportunities to participating students. Summer School typically runs through the month of June.

Springdale Elementary School is in its sixth year of operating a quality 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Program.
